COURSE DESCRIPTION

This course is the first of a two part series designed to (re)introduce students to the wonderful world of fractions. Skills covered in this course are considered to be basic math concepts because students are required to apply their knowledge of them throughout their academic careers.

• Students will be able to write equivalent fractions
• Students will become proficient in simplifying fractions
• Students will be able to order fractions from least to greatest
• Students will be able to convert improper fractions to mixed numbers
• Students will be able to add, subtract, multiply and divide fractions
